asked the Minister of Housing and Local Government and Minister for Welsh Affairs what is the number of schemes for central redevelopment approved since 1951 to the latest convenient date; and what is the number of applications at present under consideration by him.

Mr. Corfield

Since 1951, 75 comprehensive development area schemes have bean approved in central areas under the Town and Country Planning Act, 1947. A further 58 schemes have been submitted but not yet approved.

asked the Minister of Housing and Local Government and Minister for Welsh Affairs if he will publish a list of the towns in which central redevelopment has taken place, together with a list of the towns covered by applications at present in his hands.

Detailed information about the progress of redevelopment schemes is not available but I will, with permission, circulate in the OFFICIAL REPORT a list of towns with schemes which have been approved and those with schemes submitted but not yet approved.
