44. Mr. Leeasked the Minister of Aviation whether he will cause an inquiry to be held into the effect of noise from jet engines upon the workmen employed upon the production and testing of these engines.
§ Mr. AmeryThe Medical Research Council and the National Physical Laboratory are jointly undertaking a programme of research at the request of the Government into the effect of noise on workers in industry.
The production and testing of jet engines is being considered for inclusion in this programme.
