HC Deb 14 November 1962 vol 667 c58W
Mr. A. Royle

asked the Postmaster-General if he will reduce telephone rents for people aged over 65 who are in ill health or live alone.

Mr. Bevins

As my hon. Friend knows I have been reviewing the question whether cheaper telephone rentals should be charged to elderly people who are housebound and who have only limited means. I am sorry, however, that I am not yet in a position to say whether this will be possible.
