Mr. Boyden

asked the Minister of Labour how many boys and girls aged 15 to 18 years in his Department are currently attending day release classes; and what proportion this forms of the total number of juveniles in the Department.

Mr Hare

On 1st July, 1962, there were 207 officers under the age of 18 in the Ministry of Labour who were attending day release classes. This was 79 per cent. of those of this age in the Department at that time.
