§ 62. Mr. Gourlayasked the Secretary of State for Scotland if he will state the number of authorities and the number of houses of each authority approved for subsidy purposes under the provisions of the Housing (Scotland) Act, 1962, to the latest available date; and if he will state the number of houses which it is estimated will qualify for the £12 and £32 subsidies, respectively.
§ Mr. NobleIn the year to 31st October, 1962, proposals by 125 authorities for the provision of 22,975 houses were approved for subsidy purposes under the 1962 Act. I am sending the hon. Member particulars. As explained in 51W reply to the hon. Member on 7th March last, the individual authorities are in a better position than I am to estimate the rate of subsidy for which their houses will qualify under section 3 of the Act.
