§ Mr. P. Noel-BakerQ.2. asked the Prime Minister whether he will propose to President Kennedy that the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs and the other Foreign Ministers should return to Geneva to take part in the final preparation of the report to be made by the Committee of eighteen nations to the General Assembly of the United Nations on 1st June.
§ The Prime MinisterMy noble Friend would be ready to return to Geneva at any time if it appears that he could materially assist progress; but he would prefer to leave other Governments to take their own decisions. The report mentioned by the right hon. Gentleman is purely factual and a draft agreed by the Co-Chairmen (the United States and Soviet delegates) was placed before the full Conference this morning and was adopted.
