§ Mr. Dempseyasked the Minister of Transport if he is aware that bus companies in Scotland do not allow schoolchildren aged fourteen to travel at half-fare rates; and if he will take the necessary steps to ensure that they do so.
§ Mr. HayWe are aware of the arrangements. But the decision is one for the individual operator, subject to the sanction of the Traffic Commissioners, and we should not feel justified in proposing to Parliament the legislation which would be necessary to alter the existing arrangements.
