§ Mr. McAddenasked the President of the Board of Trade whether he will publish in the OFFICIAL REPORT a table of the concessions made by the United Kingdom in the recent bilateral tariff agreements with the United States of 47W America, together with a statement of the methods adopted for consultation with the industries affected and the factors which led to the selection of items for concession.
§ Mr. ErrollThe list of tariff concessions to the U.S.A. is too long to publish in the OFFICIAL REPORT: a copy is available in the Library. Extensive consultations were held with trade associations and other bodies representing British industry before the negotiations started. The Government took full account of the views expressed when deciding, in relation to the concessions which the U.S.A. were offering, what concessions should be offered to them. Generally speaking, the concessions relate to products of which the U.S.A. have been an important supplier.
