§ Mr. Rossasked the chancellor of the Exchequer what reply he has made to the Ayr County Council's representations to him on the subject of borrowing for capital works.
§ Mr. BarberThe Ayr County Council have been informed that the rates of interest charged by the Public Works Loan Board are kept in line with those ruling on the market for local authority borrowing, and that if the market rates fall, following the recent reductions in the Bank Rate, the rates charged by the Public Works Loan Board will be reduced also.
