§ 15. Sir J. Langford-Holtasked the Civil Lord of the Admiralty what have been the results of his Departmental inquiry into the need for the maintenance by his Department of over 1,000 moorings.
§ Mr. C. Ian Orr-EwingThe review is not yet complete, but we have reduced the number of moorings by 100 and we expect a total reduction of over 200. We have also introduced a modified standard of maintaining moorings, and it is estimated that this will reduce costs by about another 10 per cent.
