§ 70. Mr. G. Thomasasked the Minister of Housing and Local Government and Minister for Welsh Affairs whether he is aware of the disadvantageous basis of rates of assessment in comparison with the basis of taxation; and whether, in view of the heavy additional burdens now being imposed on ratepayers, he will take steps to postpone the proposed re assessments of rates due in 1963 until further consideration has been given to this matter.
