§ Mr. RentonA review of the Conditions of Fitness for the construction of London taxis has recently been carried out by a technical advisory committee appointed by the Deputy Commissioner of Police of the Metropolis, who is the licensing authority. My right hon. Friend is not persuaded that any further inquiry into the system of public control of London taxis is necessary at present.
