§ 35. Sir Richard Glynasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department whether he will introduce legislation to control the televising of the count at Parliamentary elections and to provide for the disposal of any fees derived therefrom.
§ Mr. Fletcher-CookeMy right hon. Friend has asked his Advisory Electoral Conference to consider whether any guidance might usefully be given to the returning officer on the question of admission to the count, including the admission of representatives of the Press and of television, and he is awaiting its recommendations. My right hon. Friend does not think that this is a matter for legislation.
