§ 37. Mr. Benceasked the Minister of Transport how many berths are unoccupied on the Clyde shipyards; and what steps he proposes taking to assist the Clyde shipyards.
§ Vice-Admiral Hughes HallettAt the end of May, 1962, 48 berths were unoccupied in the Clyde shipyards, but as was pointed out in reply to a similar Question by the hon. Member on 14th February last, this is not a true measure of idle capacity. We have no proposals in mind for special assistance to Clyde shipyards.
