§ Sir E. BoyleOf the 3,047 full-time dental students in dental schools at the beginning of the academic year 1961–62, 663 had just entered on their course for 17W the first time. At the end of the academic year 1960–61, 336 students obtained the degree of Bachelor of Dental Surgery, and a further 198 gained the Licentiate of Dental Surgery, making a total of 534.
