HC Deb 26 February 1962 vol 654 c94W
Mr. Gower

asked the Minister of Aviation what plans he has for improving the airport at Rhoose, Glamoragn; and when he will announce his decision about future extensions of the runways there.

Mr. Woodhouse

Extensions will shortly be made to the terminal building at Cardiff (Rhoose) airport. These will provide a bigger passenger lounge, and are planned to be ready in time for this summer's traffic.

The terminal apron is also being enlarged to allow more aircraft to be parked.

I am satisfied that the runways at Rhoose are adequate for the aircraft at present using this airport and for those likely to do so in the next few years.
