asked the Secretary of State for the Colonies whether he will be consulting the Government of Malta about the application of the new defence policy to that island.

Mr. Maudling

Yes. In accordance with undertakings given in the past, I shall certainly wish to consult the new Maltese Government as soon as practicable about the effects of the new defence policy on Malta.
