§ Mr. Corfield
asked the Minister of Housing and Local Government and Minister for Welsh Affairs what, over the most recent three-year period for which figures are available, is the total sum paid in compensation under Section 20 of the Town and Country Planning Act, 1947, in respect of refusals to permit the enlargement, improvement or other alteration of office premises to the extent mentioned in paragraph 3 of the Third Schedule to that Act; and what are the corresponding figures for the County of London.
§ Mr. Rippon
My right hon. Friend understands that in the last three years the London County Council has paid none, but he has no information about the rest of the country. It is a local responsibility.
