asked the President of the Board of Trade if he will seek powers to enable him to demand reports on the activities and statements of accounts from any firms which, in his opinion, show monopolistic tendencies.

As I told the House on January 30th, I am having the existing legislation on restrictive practices and monopolies reviewed. The right hon. Member's suggestion will be taken into account.
