HC Deb 14 February 1962 vol 653 c145W
53. Mr. Webster

asked the Minister of Transport how many accidents involving pedestrians have occurred between the airport entrance at Lulsgate and Potters Hill on A.38 during the last convenient period.

Mr. Hay

In 1961 there were nine personal injury accidents in which pedestrians were involved. In these accidents two pedestrians were killed, one seriously injured and one slightly injured.

64. Mr. Leather

asked the Minister of Transport what action he proposes to take to safeguard the lives of schoolchildren crossing the A.38 road between Lulsgate and Potter's Hill in Somerset.

Mr. Hay

As the measures already taken to make this road safer have not proved adequate, we are considering urgently with the county council what more can be done.
