§ Mr. Dempseyasked the Minister of Labour if, in view of the inability of some firms, due to size and economic limitations, to provide apprenticeship training, he will make arrangements for their employees to have similar apprenticeship training facilities as those given to the employees of larger and better-equipped firms.
§ Mr. HareI am well aware of the difficulties small firms face in providing apprenticeship training. Indeed, this was one of the factors which I had very much in mind in formulating the proposals for industrial training recently published as Command Paper 1892. It is my desire that the boards there proposed will be able to make arrangements of the kind the hon. Member has in mind.
