§ Mr. G. M. Thomsonasked the Lord Privy Seal if he will set up a National Committee for the United Nations Development Decade to advise the Government on the most effective methods of participation and to mobilise public opinion behind this international effort.
§ Mr. P. ThomasHer Majesty's Government are not persuaded of the present need for a committee for this purpose. They already have adequate sources of advice on the subject and believe that the mobilisation of public opinion is better left to private organisations.
