HC Deb 14 December 1962 vol 669 cc116-7W
Commander Pursey

asked the Minister of Labour what is the number of men and women, respectively, in Hull who have been unemployed for the last 12, nine and three months, respectively; and what steps he is taking to deal with the unemployment in the city.

Mr. Hare

The latest available figures are those for 15th October. On that date 322 men and 48 women had been unemployed for over three and up to six months; 120 men and 11 women for over nine and up to twelve months, and 378 men and 25 women for over twelve months. My local officers will continue to do everything possible to try to find work for those registered with them.
