HC Deb 12 December 1962 vol 669 c60W
37. Mr. Parker

asked the Minister of Labour whether he will set up a committee of inquiry into the effect of trades disputes on labour relations at Fords.

Mr. Hare

Discussions are at present in progress between the management of the Ford Company and the trade unions with a view to disposing of the issues outstanding from the recent strike. In addition, I understand that discussions will continue between the management and the unions on the proposals for the improvement of labour relations generally which were agreed at the meeting of the Ford National Joint Negotiating Committee on 12th October. Therefore I do not consider that the hon. Gentleman's suggestion would be helpful.
