§ Miss PikeI am sorry that information is not available for the counties of Northumberland and Durham. In the telephone areas of Newcastle-upon-Tyne and Middlesbrough, £1£65 million was spent in the 12 months ended 31st October, 1962, on the provision of equipment in customers' premises and line plant from the local telephone exchange. This sum was 3.6 per cent. of the national total.
