§ Mr. MarplesConsultation about general safety features in the design of motor vehicles and components, including brakes, takes place regularly between my Department and the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders. Matters relating to the safety of any particular design of vehicle are discussed directly with the manufacturer concerned.
