asked the President of the Board of Trade if he will consult the Cotton Board about the improvements which are necessary in the structure of the textile industry in order that the re-equipment plans shall be matched with organisational efficiency.

As my hon. Friend informed the hon. Member on 31st July, I have invited the Cotton Board to meet me in the early autumn. I will accordingly bear in mind the hon. Member's suggestion.
