§ Mr. MaudlingIn the Colony 82 persons were in training in 1960–61 and 75 in 1961–62: this may be compared with 39 in 1957–58. In the Protectorate the increase has been from 33 in 1960–61 to 56 in 1961–62. As regards the second part of the Question, in the Colony there has been an increase in the number of girls at school of 706 (i.e. about 28 per cent.) between 1960–61 and 1961–62: for the Protectorate I have no exact figure, but the increase has been about 23 per cent.
