asked the Minister of Labour what information he has received from Ford's, Dagenham, about the likely effect on its labour forces of its proposals for further modernisation.

I have been informed that the Ford Motor Company is extending its Thames Foundry at Dagenham, but the extension will not be completed until the end of next year. The Company has said it will make every effort to absorb all employees who now work in the Dagenham Foundry.
