Griffithsasked the Lord Privy Seal what agreement has been reached in the North Atlantic Treaty Organisation on a unified command under a West German commander of all the North Atlantic Treaty Organisation naval forces in the Baltic, and as regards the build-up of German naval forces in that area.
§ Mr. HeathProposals by General Norstad for an integrated Command Structure in the Western Baltic are under consideration by the Danish and German Governments. No final decision has yet been reached. German naval forces in the Baltic area consist of the vessels and formations considered necessary for the defensive missions assigned to the Federal Republic by the North Atlantic Treaty Organisation.
