§ Mr. Denzil FreethThe Atomic Authority and certain Government Departments have an absolute liability for injury or damage to third parties, or employees, by ionising radiations. £63,000 compensation, mostly in respect of milk withdrawn from consumption in 1957 following the Windscale incident, has been paid by the Atomic Energy Authority. Two claims are pending.
