§ 97. Mr. Parkerasked the Minister of Transport whether he will introduce legislation to stop the playing of transistor radios in all buses, trains and coaches.
§ Mr. MarplesNo, sir. British Railways' byelaws and my regulations for the conduct of passengers on buses and coaches already forbid the use of radios when they annoy other persons. A complete ban would be unfair, for there may be times when all passengers in a compartment or coach would like to listen to a radio.
