§ Mr. Malcolm MacPhersonasked the Secretary of State for Scotland following the Report of the Law Society of Scotland on the Legal Aid Scheme for the year ended 31st March, 1961, what reply he proposes to make to the representations he has received in favour of extending the Legal Aid Scheme to criminal cases.
§ Mr. MaclayI am considering the report of the Guthrie Committee on legal aid in criminal proceedings and I am in touch with the Law Society of Scotland on this matter, but I am not yet in a position to make a statement.
