§ Mr. Loughlinasked the Minister of Housing and Local Government and Minister for Welsh Affairs what arrangements he has made for the evacuation of all civilians and for women and children from known danger areas in the event of nuclear attack; what arrangements have been made for their accommodation in the receiving areas; what is his estimate of the number of persons involved; and if he will state the areas considered to be known danger areas.
Dr. HillAs my predecessor informed the House on 30th March, 1961, in reply to the right hon. Member for Derby, South (Mr. P. Noel-Baker), a comprehensive review of evacuation policy is being carried out. Discussions on the22W subject have been held with the local authority associations and I am giving further consideration to the problem in the light of the views expressed during these discussions.
