§ Mr. GeorgeThere is the closest cooperation between my Department, the Board of Trade and the Ministry of Labour in order to mitigate the effect of pit closures. Wherever it is appropriate my right hon. Friend the President of the Board of Trade is prepared to use the powers available to him under the Local Employment Act.
