§ Mr. J. P. W. Mallalieuasked the Postmaster-General what representations have been made to him about the increased charges in telephone wire rentals for broadcasts to Huddersfield hospitals and welfare homes; and whether he will make a statement.
§ Mr. BevinsI am not aware of any specific representations about the Huddersfield hospital network. I have, however, already stated that I am making some changes, the effect of which will be to moderate the increases substantially and will help the renters of hospital commentary circuits and similar networks. I have asked telephone managers to work out the details with the renters.
