§ 68. Mr. Biggs-Davisonasked the Lord Privy Seal what proposals have been received from the United States Government for the reduction, or removal, of preferential economic arrangements between the United Kingdom and other Commonwealth States and territories in Africa or elsewhere.
§ Mr. HeathNone. Her Majesty's Government have suggested to the European Economic Community countries that there might be advantage in an early and informal exchange of views on the treatment to be accorded to tropical products. We have not yet received a reply. Meanwhile we have had an informal and exploratory exchange of views with the United States Government. There have been no proposals from the United States and no conclusions have been reached.
