Member for Newcastle-under-Lyme concerning the urgent need to improve Clayton Lane, Newcastle-under-Lyme: and if he will take steps, in conjunction with Newcastle-under-Lyme Borough Council, to widen the road, provide proper pavements, and install adequate lighting.
§ Mr. MarplesClayton Lane is an unclassified road and its improvement is entirely the responsibility of the highway authorities, the Newcastle-under-Lyme Borough Council and the Stoke-on-Trent County Borough Council. I am sorry that I am unable to assist.
