§ Mr. MaclayI have evidence that drift net fishing has been continuing in the Tweed area and to some extent elsewhere on the east coast. A deputation representing salmon fishing interests in Scotland was received on my behalf on 12th May and I am considering the whole matter urgently in consultation with my right hon. Friend the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food.
