HC Deb 04 May 1961 vol 639 c126W
58. Mr. G. Roberts

asked the Attorney. General if he is aware that owing to congestion of business at the Caernarvon Assizes, civil cases are being postponed without prospect of being heard; and whether, in view of the hardship caused to litigants, he will take steps to remedy the position.

The Attorney-General

I am aware of the state of business at the Caernarvon Assizes. I understand that the Lord Chief Justice has arranged for an additional judge to attend the Assizes in order to dispose of the civil actions now awaiting trial.
