HC Deb 21 March 1961 vol 637 c37W
Sir D. Campbell

asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department whether there was any communication with the late Lieut.-Colonel Wills before his firearms, which had been handed for safe keeping, by order, to the Royal Irish Constabulary and for which the United Kingdom Government gave a receipt, were destroyed or transferred to another Government.

Mr. R. A. Butler

Steps were taken to communicate with known owners of surrendered firearms, but no records now exist to show what happened in any particular case.
