HC Deb 20 March 1961 vol 637 cc2-3W
20 and 21. Mr. Pavitt

asked the Minister of Health (1) what was the number of people who suffered from chronic bronchitis for each of the past three years; and how many items of prescription would normally be required in each case during a winter period;

(2) what was the number of people who suffered from rheumatism for each of the past three years; and how many items of prescription would normally be required in each case during a winter period.

Miss Pitt

I regret that the number of cases is not known. As the needs of individual patients vary greatly, it is not possible to say how many items a doctor would normally need to prescribe.
