§ 58. Viscount Lambtonasked the Lord Privy Seal if he will propose a meeting of European Heads of State to discuss the possibility of a joint aid scheme for Africa.
§ Mr. HeathWe are co-operating in aid to underdeveloped areas with both European and other Governments, including the United States and the Commonwealth countries, through various bodies within the United Nations framework and elsewhere. There will be opportunities for full discussion in the Development Assistance Committee of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (O.E.C.D.). I do not think that a meeting of the sort proposed by my hon. Friend could help at this stage.
