§ 63. Mr. Pagetasked the Postmaster-General what steps he proposes to take to improve television reception in parts of the Northampton area.
§ Miss PikeThe Northampton area is on the fringe of the service area of the B.B.C.'s station at Sutton Coldfield and outside the service area of the I.T.A.'s Litchfield station. The I.T.A. is proposing to increase the power and the height of the mast of its Litchfield station within the next few months, and this should improve reception in the Northampton area. No other immediate steps are contemplated, but my right hon. Friend is assured that the B.B.C. and the I.T.A. will have regard to the claims of this area in planning their satellite station schemes.
