§ Mr. Dempseyasked the Minister of Transport if he will publish figures showing how many persons applied for driving tests in Lanarkshire during each of the last five years; how many passed; and how many passed after the first, second, third, fourth or subsequent examinations.
§ Mr. MarplesDuring the twelve months ending 13th July, 1961, 42,208 driving tests were conducted at centres in Lanarkshire, including Glasgow; 19,675 persons passed the test. No records are maintained which would show how many candidates passed the test at a first or subsequent attempt.
