§ 68. Mr. C. Osborneasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer, in view of the fact that the fixed interest bearing stocks in the Iron and Steel Holding and Realisation Agency could be sold at higher prices if the Bank Rate were reduced, whether his consent to the sale of these securities, in the immediate future, means that there is no likelihood of the Bank Rate being further reduced; and if he will make a statement.
§ Mr. BarberI can make no comment on these matters.
