§ Mr. Russellasked the Minister of Transport the factors which lead him not to regard the improvement of Bowes Road, including the length between Powys Lane and Green Lanes, as having such high priority as the improvement of some other sections of the road.
§ Mr. MarplesThere are sections of the North Circular Road which have narrower carriageways and greater traffic overload than Bowes Road. Other factors taken into account include the advantage of providing continuous lengths of dual carriageway road and the complexity of property acquisition involved.
