§ 36. Mr. Symondsasked the Minister of Labour if he will state the number of unemployed persons, giving adults and juveniles separately, in the Whitehaven and Cleator Moor area; and how many of them have been unemployed for more than three months.
§ Mr. P. ThomasOn 13th February, 507 adults and 25 young persons were registered as unemployed. On 12th December, 1960, the latest date for which an analysis by duration of unemployment is available, there were 440 adults and 21 young persons wholly unemployed, of whom 204 and one respectively had been unemployed for more than three months.
