HC Deb 21 February 1961 vol 635 c46W
100. Mr. Sorensen

asked the Lord Privy Seal, in view of the danger to the United Nations arising from the attacks by representatives of the Government of the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics on the Secretary-General and the attempt to ignore and humiliate him, what proposals Her Majesty's Government intends to make to deal with this situation.

Mr. Heath

We fully support Mr. Hammarskjoeld who continues to enjoy the confidence of the great majority of the member countries of the United Nations. We have already made this clear on many occasions and will continue to do so.
