Stewartasked the Minister of Housing and Local Government and Minister for Welsh Affairs how many local authorities there are the total of 37W whose receipts under Section 15 of the Local Government Act, 1958, for the years 1959–60 and 1960–61, will be less than two-thirds of the total, for those years, which they had previously been notified they would receive.
§ Mr. BrookeTwo hundred and seventy-four of the local authorities which were originally thought to be losing authorities under the 1958 Act were found, on the revised calculation based on up-to-date figures, to have their losses eliminated or reduced; 136 of these will, as a result, receive less than two-thirds of the transitional grant originally calculated to be due to them for 1959–60 and 1960–61.
